Who Should Attend
This course is appropriate for all interested in Viktor Frankl, his psychology, philosophy and therapy. It will not be technical, so is appropriate for a general audience.
It will have sufficient rigor, however, for professionals interested in integrating Franklian Psychology into their practices. Specifically the course is approved for 15 clock hours of continuing education (professional development) for Social Workers, Marriage and Family therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors and Psychologists.
This is the first course of the educational program at the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy: http://www.viktorfranklinstitute.org./Continuing_Education_Program.html Students who complete this group course would be eligible to continue with the 4 course sequence leading to the Associate in Logotherapy or, with supervision and a project, to the Diplomate in Logotherapy.
Michael Winters, PhD a psychologist and a diplomate in Logotherapy, is the Chair of Education and Credentialing on the board of the Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy and is on the editorial board of the International Forum for Logotherapy. He is an award winning storyteller and speaker and has taught many classes on Logotherapy and the search for meaning to both mental health professionals and general audiences. Class members often remark that Dr. Winters is clear, compassionate and engaging.
