Dr. Winters has agreed to share his expertise and during the course of this 3 hour presentation will expound on the meaning centered approach and its use in helping clients attain fuller and richer lives. This presentation is intended to advise practitioners in use of this therapy technique, including case conceptualization and hands on discussion of examples.

Participants will be able to:

  • Describe the foundation of meaning centered therapy and its practice.
  • Apply the principles of meaning centered therapy to case conceptualization.
  • Formulate alternative approaches to treatment of chronic mood disorders.

Dr. Winters specializes in the practice of logotherapy, a school of psychotherapy developed by Austrian psychiatrist Viktor Frankl, which emphasizes the importance of finding meaning in life in all circumstances. Logotherapy goes beyond diagnosis and symptom alleviation to address the core issues in improving quality of life.

Michael Winters is a Psychologist in Houston focusing on marriage counseling and therapy. Michael received his PhD from the University of Memphis and has been practicing since 1991.
