Michael will lead this course. Below is the course excerpt.
Explore the basic human need for meaning in this series of conversations about four fundamental experiences: food (Oct. 21), money (Oct. 28), work (Nov. 4), and grief (Nov. 11). Each of these topics offer us a window into our own ongoing relationship with meaning. The philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche suggested that “he who has a Why to live for can get along with almost any How.” In this series, each of us will explore more deeply the meaning of these experiences in our own lives as we also examine the foundations of meaning itself.
